can eyes our decipher the difference between a 1080p and a 720p resolution??
discarding the distance and lighting. i just want the concrete answer. i mean whats the maximum resolution our eyes can actually “see”.
720p and 1080i are very close as far as what our eyes can perceive.
1080p is perceived as higher resolution than 720p.
The max resolution our eyes can see is about 6 mega-pixels. This is 3000 by 2000 pixels on a 6″x4″ print, when viewed at a distance of about 18 inches. This can be calculated by knowing the Cone Density in the Fovea, which is in the center of the Macula, in the Retina.
Now, if we take into consideration that the the Eyes scan back and forth, the Eye-Brain combination lead to an end result of about 20 mega-pixels.
